Mount Samaipata is located in the remote mountain range of central Bolivia, approximately 120 km from the town of Santa Cruz. Ruins on Samaipata Mountain are some of the most seditious places in all of South America.

It is assumed that local buildings were built more than 1500 BC. The platform is located at an altitude of 1949 meters above sea level.

The place was first discovered by the first Spaniards who conquered the area during colonization. The place was named "El Fuerte". The Spaniards believed that the place was used for military purposes, which contemporary archaeologists, as always, refuse, saying that the place certainly served religious purposes.

Today, unfortunately, we can hardly determine how in reality the place is old and for what purpose it was created.
