There is a constant debate about how old the pyramids really are. Traditional archaeologists tend to follow generally accepted dating, but some researchers have repeatedly questioned this dating. Could the Egyptian pyramids really be hundreds of thousands of years old, as some of them think? One thing is clear: this debate will probably never end. However, if we look at it broadly enough, it is clear that these questions are appropriate.

Pyramids

The pyramids around the world are so similar to each other that it is possible to think about the existence of global communication, planning and use of advanced technologies even thousands of years ago. And in one case she was perfect preserved and richly decorated pyramid found deep underwater, which supports the idea that it could have been built in the distant past - before the great flood described in ancient texts from around the world.

Location of Lake Fuxian

Far from Egypt, in vast and secret China, there is a sunken city and an extensive underwater pyramid. Location: Lake Fuxian. The lake is located in Yunnan Province, covers 260 square kilometers and reaches a depth of 150 m. The lake is located 1720 meters above sea level and is one of the largest freshwater lakes in China. In 1992, professional diver Geng Wei found engraved stones covered with moss on his bottom. During his further research, together with Chinese archaeologists equipped with a submarine, he discovered stairs, walls, pottery, an arena and the path of a sunken city. The diver assumed this city could be the legendary city of Yuyuan, which is said to have disappeared in the distant past.

Missing pyramid

The following quote comes from the China Daily: "Geng Wei believed that stones could come from the distant past. However, why were they underwater? Where did they come from? In asking these questions, Geng remembered a mysterious legend about this lake. Locals often said that residents could see contours resembling a city from the nearby mountains on a clear, calm day below the surface of the lake. Was it an ancient city mentioned in legends? To investigate this mystery, Gengasi sank 38 times in the waters of the lake and conducted surveys there. Finally, he wrote a report informing the authorities and experts from Yunnan Province of his discoveries.

The same Chinese source, which is closely monitored by the communist government, speaks openly about the underwater city. Archaeologists are said to date the finds from this site to around 250 AD and initially assumed that the sunken city corresponded to the legends of the lost city of Yuyuan. However, on closer inspection, archaeologists have determined that the stone city cannot be Yuyuan because it was built of wood and clay, not stone. In addition, archaeologists trying to date the material on the rocks found that the sunken city must be much older. It should also be noted that the source completely ignores any mention of the pyramid. On the other hand, the pyramid can be read in Chinese tourist guides, in which it is compared to the Mayan pyramids.

From the Travel China Guide:

"The ancient city discovered in 2005 reached an area of 2,4 ths. km and had 8 main buildings. The most breathtaking is the Pyramid of Lake Fuxian. The five-storey building is 21 m high and resembles the Mayan pyramid in shape. The building with the stage and many bronze buckles is believed to have been a sacrificial altar. On the flooded buildings there are many 8-15 cm deep holes resembling the 'horseshoe of the Sea Horse (the legendary animal inhabiting the lake).' Researchers assume that they were probably used for the construction of buildings.

A British source also used an analogy to Mayan buildings:

"Researchers say eight main buildings were found underwater, including a round, colosseum-like structure with a 37-meter-wide base and a gap in the northeast, and two tall, stepped buildings similar to the Mayan pyramids."

The online magazine Ancient Origins stated that the pyramid looks advanced and published a description of mysterious engravings found on the stones. Unusual deep engravings in the shape of the sun were found to be up to 1800 years old. Other engravings look like masks with non-human faces, or in the form of symbols resembling the numbers 0 and 1 and the letter Y.

Legends about Lake Fuxian

Cheng Jang Fu Zhi, a book written during the reign of Emperor Daoguan, describes a flying horse-like creature with red spots on its back that lived in a lake. It was later compared to Pegasus, a flying horse from Greek myths. On October 24, 1991, a fisherman named Zhang Yuxiang sailed across the lake on a clear day. A thick fog rolled in, and the fisherman, along with other people on the boat, saw a glowing disk-shaped UFO rising from the water. As the machine ascended to the surface, it produced waves that fluttered the fishing boat. Then he flew sharply into the air.

Carvings on stones in the underwater ruins of Lake Fuxian

The China Daily reported that soldiers often patrolled the hill west of a lake called Li Jiashan, but no one knew why. The hill was once the site of an ancient battlefield and thousands of bronze castings were found here. Li Jiashan Hill is also said to attract lightning.

Phenomenon

"Another strange phenomenon has taken place in Li Jiashan. Many times lightning struck here. According to experts, a huge amount of metals must be hidden underground, which in turn attracts electric shocks. Is there still a large number of bronze castings in Li Jiashan? The locals tell many legends. The ancient story describes 'people who sank along with the ancient city and now live underwater.' For a change, some have said that they 'saw mummies standing in the lake during the process.'
