In the Bosnian mountains, ancient, huge metal rings were found on the tops of the hills, fixed to the rock. Is their age 30 million years old, as some locals believe? Legend has it that the artifact dates back to the early Pannonian Sea era and was used by giant beings who inhabited the area in the distant past. Some recent discoveries refer to the time when giants roamed the earth. The mysterious giant circles found on the mountain tops directly suggest that they were used by giants who inhabited the region millions of years ago.

But the locals differ in their views and feelings about these mysterious circles. Some offer a very simple explanation. According to them, these circles date from the Austro-Hungarian period, and were placed at these peaks to help transport timber across the steep slopes of the rugged mountains in the region. Others support the theory that the circles were located inside the mountains in the days when the Pannonian Sea existed, and these circles were used to moor ships and the area was used as a seaport. Local legends speak of giants and their huge ships, and it is believed that the circles were created by giants, shipowners, and sailors who lived here at the time.

But is it possible that these circles are millions of years old? How would that be possible, what material would they be made of? However, if no "official" research has been conducted, all possibilities are open. Local people claim that a large number of other artifacts have been found in the area that can hardly be explained and that all the findings are carefully kept secret from the people.

The finds of these huge circles are in rocks that seem to be finely carved from the surrounding hills around Vogusca near Breza and Vares, near (the hills) of Dubrovnik and also in other places in eastern Bosnia. The other four places are Bjelasnica, Vlasic, Vranica, Prenj, Velez and then Majevica and Bukovica near Travnik nad Stolacem. It is very important to the locals to investigate these findings.

For years, these circles have been spoken, and when they come to speak, opinions vary. While some emphasize that it is impossible for circles to be so old, others believe that they are in fact proof of the time when giants moved on Earth and that further evidence of this theory is found elsewhere in the world.
Those who are firmly convinced that the circles cannot be old point to the fact that the Pannonian Sea lay in the Pannonian Plain about 30 million years ago and disappeared about 600 years ago. The first hominids to make tools did not occur until about 000 years ago, so the time gap between them and the Pannonian Sea is 200 years. There were no people living in the days of the Pannonian Sea, so who would build ships? And if no one built ships, who would make rings for them? So there was simply no reason to make mooring rings when the ships could not reach these "ports". The circles have been seen by a lot of people and some of them think they were definitely not used for mooring boats to the shore.

Mount Kozara, where the giant circle was found, was then located on the prehistoric island of Paratethis, 50 years ago. As the Pannonian Sea receded, the coast emerged. That is why the director of the "Kozara" National Park, Mr. Dragan Romčevič, thinks that the circles do not come from this era.

Another view is that the rings have been put in place in recent history and have been used to attach air balloons to the ground.

Dejan Pelvis, a professor of history at the Prijedor High School, thinks that the circles from Kozara are just one of the other, incomprehensible secrets associated with our past. All these secrets are connected by one fact - namely that no one can explain their origin and purpose precisely. These findings are shrouded in mystery.

Circles are a topic for which science offers no explanation, no logical facts are available. And because science cannot explain these mysterious objects, people have no choice but to explain these mysteries in their own way. And then all theories become possible….
