Many books, articles and reports have been written about this catastrophe. We leave aside the original publication about the event and try to look at the facts unknown to the public, which were classified.

The reactor of the fourth unit exploded on April 26, 1986 at 1:26 o'clock. It was practically an explosion of a nuclear bomb, which is basically every reactor of all nuclear power plants. Awakened by the explosion, the people of Chernobyl saw a fiery glow. Among the thousands of witnesses to this tragedy, however, hundreds of them also noticed that UFOs were "hanging" in the sky above the burning fourth power unit.

Because there were too many eyewitnesses and it would not be easy to silence them, government authorities in Soviet space began to spread rumors that the UFO had caused the accident, and there was even a version that the reactor had been blown up by an unidentifiable object.

Was the UFO the first savior at the scene of the crash?

In August 1990, a man was found to be on standby that night, Mikhail Andreyevich Varicky, an employee of the radiation surveillance department. There is his written statement.

Ufo over ChernobylAroused by the alarm, Varicki and his colleague, Mikhail Samoylenko, drove to the power plant. When they were in sight of the fourth power unit, they saw whipping flames, felt a burning sensation on their faces, and the dosimeter could "go crazy." They decided to return for protective suits and gear. As soon as they started turning the car, suddenly - and here we find Varický: "We saw a slow-flying brass-colored light ball in the sky, 6-8 meters in diameter. We switched the radiometer to a larger range and performed the measurement again, the scale showed a value of 3000 millirents / h. Suddenly two raspberry-colored rays shot out of the sphere and aimed at the reactor of the 4th power unit. The object (UFO) was about 300 meters from the block. The radiant rays lasted for about 3 minutes, then went out and the ball slowly sailed northwest, towards Belarus. At that moment, we looked at the dosimeter again and it showed 800 mR / h. We could not explain what had happened, and we concluded that the device had stopped working. But when we returned to the base and checked it again, we found that it was fine. "

MAVarický's statement is basically a chronicle of events, both in time and in terms of measured values. It is understood that estimates of dimensions and distances are subjective, however, radiometer data have been shown to be objective.

If the UFO did not appear there at the right time, the catastrophe would probably be much larger. Until the accident, similar objects over Ukraine were very rare (which could lead to reflection on the causes).

On the night of April 26, 1986, there were many witnesses who saw UFOs not only over the power plant but also over the nearby towns of Pripyat and Slavutich. And since the summer of 1986, strange light and "hanging" objects have appeared over large neighborhoods.
