Introduction:

I welcome all readers to the next episode of the sleeping prophet. Today I will write about the will as soon as I give the gift - craniosacral biodynamics therapy in Radotín. This time after the draw she is won by Mrs. Marta, congratulations and I look forward to seeing you.

Principle No.14: "Learn to Make a Decision"

Decision. There are times when the number of decisions we have to make is above our strength. Some people long for a less complicated life, a world where they have freedom, but without many choices. It seems to them that they will become more spiritual if they do not have to waste their time by solving everyday problems. But is it really a solution? Is it not better to know that whatever happens, can I rely on my body, my senses and my heart? Can I take any decision and will I stand for its consequences?

What is the will?
Psychology in Edgar Cayce's interpretations offers a view of decision-making that deeply values human choice. The will is presented as one of the three attributes of the soul along with the mind and spiritual energy.

  • spiritual energy, which is eternal and unlimited
  • mind is creative and includes logical thinking, intuition, imagination and creativity
  • will, through which we are independent beings, we have a choice that depends on our habits

You may know that there are only three basic colors: blue, red and yellow. All other colors are produced by combining these three colors, while you do not produce blue for example. Equally, spiritual energies, minds and wills are the cornerstones of our soul. Will is not a state of mind or a type of energy. But the impact on our life is immense.

The Italian psychiatrist Roberto Assagioli was one of the modern thinkers who dealt with the meaning of the will. He developed a detailed system called psychosynthesis, which places the will at the center of human individuality. It contains seven features that will help us understand how the will operates in our lives. These features are:

  • vitality and access to dynamic energy
  • discipline and control
  • a bold initiative
  • patient endurance
  • concentration
  • synthesis and harmony
  • decision-making and free decision-making

The characteristics of the will
Understanding the following five characteristics of the will will help us make wise decisions:

  1. Will gives us individuality. This feature allows us to observe ourselves, to be objective, capable of self-reflection. Such self-awareness is important for spiritual development.
  2. Will is the opposite of habits. We all have ingrained ways of thinking, acting and feeling. These routines tend to control our lives when we allow them to. However, with the help of the will, we can resist them.
  3. Will opens the soul. If spiritual development is your goal, then proper use of will is essential. Cayce even suggests that spiritual growth is essentially a question of how we use our will properly.
  4. The will is the leader of the mind. If "the mind is a builder," as Cayce claims, then we can only ask what this process drives. Will serves the mind and is a guarantee that the results of creativity will be useful.
  5. Will leads to obedience. Today, this view is not modern. There is a very strong claim to free will. However, respecting God's will is one of the factors of spiritual growth. Giving up one's will and following a higher goal is an act of an enlightened mind.

Individual Will and Divine Will
The introduction of the concept of Divine Will may seem like a denial of the preceding sentences. Why should we deal with personal responsibility when they still exist here? waysto which we must submit? Cayce replied that we must try to live with this paradox. There are two sides to the will:

  • One that personally entitles us.
  • And the other coming from outside.

God's will does not say exactly what to do, it would be too limited a view. Rather, it encourages us to use our free will for the good of all involved. It's the same as raising a child. A loving parent not only will allow the child is free to decide and bear responsibility for his decision, but also that requires.

"It is God's will for us to choose."
The divine intent is to learn to make a wise and loving decision. So we wake up from sleep and develop our individuality. It is equally important to surrender to something greater than we ourselves. It is a paradox of spiritual power: we must use our free will and so grow spiritually, but at the same time we must be able to lead ourselves with greater force. How can we learn that?

How can we surrender to God without feeling that we have given up free will? The very idea of surrender suggests surrender. Cayce suggests that we can learn the higher forms of surrender through fasting. But what does this have to do with spirituality?

Real fasting is more than a limited food intake. It means directing your own will. This may also apply to other things or habits, smoking, or social networking. That is how we can learn to control our will. This is precisely what God requires us to be capable of creative work.

Exercises:
There are small but big decisions. Consciously try to apply all three phases to solve one problem.

  • Choose a situation for which you will be able to find a solution in one day without having to hurry or skip any of the following steps:
    • ZMATEK: The chaos that needs its remedy. You feel that there is a need for change, everything inside is revolting and inventing the reasons why it is not.
    • ALTERNATIVES - different solutions come.
    • CHOICE - an act, a will that chooses one of the options.
  • Notice the tendency to "fall asleep" during this process and allow the habits to decide for you.
  • Then make a decision, start acting and keep track of its consequences.
