Welcome to the sixth part of the series on interpretations of the principles of happiness of the sleeping prophet Edgar Cayce. I believe that many of you who read articles carefully are experiencing small or large changes in your life. As always, a form is attached below the article, I will be happy if you share them with me. On Friday, I will close the submission again and draw one treatment winner craniosacral biodynamics free of charge. He will try craniosacral biodynamics this week Mr Václav. Congratulations.

Principle 6: Truth is a growing affair.

What is the truth?

This philosophical mystery has attracted the mind since one began to think. People asking for Edgar Cayce's explanations wanted to know the truth, they wanted to believe in something. Some wanted to verify their diagnosis or help with treatment, others had relationship problems at home or at work. Many of them were looking for facts about spiritual growth. Western civilization is undoubtedly based on the importance of truth. We need the truth so that we can live a better future. Every witness in the courtroom must swear to tell the truth. The scales of truth are an ancient symbol. According to the faith of the Egyptians, after his death, each soul entered the courtroom of the Egyptian God Osiris, who ruled in heaven. All souls longed to enter this world, because the rest of the afterlife was inhabited by monsters. But not everyone was allowed to enter. The soul first had to declare that it had not committed any crime. Everyone's heart was then weighed, and if it was not sincere, an unfortunate fate awaited him.

 Truth is a growing affair

One view of the truth is that it is changing. Today's truth is different than yesterday's. But Cayce always insisted that the truth was "really always the same." So he identified with the second view that truth is a growing thing. Like lawn fertilizer, it does not grow by itself, but promotes grass growth. Truth is a divinely inspired impulse to grow, pushing every soul to fulfill its destiny, although it can sometimes be a source of unpleasant feeling. To change and evolve sometimes means to suffer. It is not easy to get rid of old patterns of action and thinking, they often persist, even if accepting the truth requires new attitudes and approaches.

Despite the discomfort with which the truth is associated, something within us wants and appreciates it. Let us remember, for example, our deepest friendships. Isn't our deep friend someone we can tell the truth to, even if it's uncomfortable for both of us? This is where we appreciate the truth the most, because who can tell us with more love than our loved ones?

How can we tell the truth?

Many wars were provoked to defend certain truths. Take, for example, seventeenth-century Europe, described by Joseph Campbell as "a world of fools throwing the Bible after themselves - French Calvinists, German Lutherans, Spanish and Portuguese inquisitors, and many like them." God's truth cannot be found in books, but in the human heart and mind. These words of his were condemned at the time as hell.

Fortunately, there is a way to know the truth. As a growing thing, it contributes to attitudes and actions that are constructive. So hatred, anger, and envy are not among these aspects. The spirit of truth promotes patience, love, cordiality, and kindness. The power of living truth is illustrated by the story of Jaime Escalant, which was filmed under the title Stand and Deliver. In 1982, he began teaching mathematics at Garfield High School. At the time, the school was known for its vandalism and desperate school results. Escalante decided to change this situation. His main tools were enthusiasm and true love for students. At the end of the year, 18 students in his class passed the exams. Examining professors initially suspected them of cheating. However, when the tests were repeated, their extraordinary abilities were confirmed. Truth and love, as the teacher saw her in the students, supported the incredible growth of these young people.

The power of lies

What is a lie? It is an act, or word, sometimes even silence, that accompanies the intention to cheat. It is often created in order to gain power. In 1938, Hitler simultaneously persecuted the Jews and built a war industry. Albert Einstein published an article entitled, "Why Do We Hate Jews?" He began with the following ancient fairy tale:

The herdsman's boy said to the horse, "You are the noblest animal living on earth. You deserve to live in undisturbed bliss. It would be so if it weren't for the treacherous deer. He and his companions are deliberately stealing from you what rightfully belongs to you. His faster legs allow him to get to the water in front of you. He and his group will drink all the water, while there will be nothing left for you and your children. "Let me lead you," said the boy the shepherd, "and I will deliver you from this unjust situation." The horse, blinded by his own anger and envy, allowed his bridle to be put on. Thus he lost his freedom and became a slave.

Lying is not just what we do to others, we lie to ourselves. Sometimes we practice cheating ourselves due to the illusion of self-importance. At other times, we justify our behavior by blaming others for our problems, instead of accepting our own responsibility. I have been working for over a year with a client who constantly has some injuries. Broken arms, legs, pinched back. Her husband is to blame for everything, he is the culprit of everything. Sure, relationships between older spouses may not be easy sometimes, but the man is healthy. Only when the woman truthfully admitted that she did not appreciate her husband as he is, but only reproached and ridiculed, at that moment did she loosen her back and the bones stopped breaking. Truth and love should flow through the house.

Lying has a negative effect on both the body and the soul. What would really happen if we were just telling the truth? Something inside us whispers, "Sometimes it doesn't work, I have to adjust the difficult reality a little bit, because I would hurt." The told truth will bring the greatest results in the long run. And hand on heart, who didn't experience it, a feeling of bad conscience when we lied and then forgot what our lie was? The best way to a clear conscience is to live in truth.

Exercises:

Write, share, share with me your experience of keeping the truth in your life. The answer form is attached as always below the article.

  • Experience the day as honest as you can.
  • Stop whenever you find yourself overreacting.
  • Try to be honest with yourself inside. For example, avoid blaming others for your troubles.
  • Talk to people with tact and sensitivity, but as truthfully as possible.
  • Perceive the growth in your life that is true.
