In the figure we can see the fragment of the gigantic hand of the statue attributed to Amenhotep III. The fragment is located in the area of the temple in Karnak (Egypt). Such fragments of gigantic statues on the territory of Egypt are more and more found in excavations. When statues still stood, they must have been tens or hundreds across the whole of Egypt.

Of those preserved we remember at least the Memnon Colossus and 4 Colossal Statues before entering the temple in Abu Simbel.

The fragment of the hand looks like the 2 / 3 head size that you can see cracked in front of the entrance to Abu Simbel Temple. This indicates that it would be a much larger colossus than one of the preserved sculptures.

Again those thorny questions: Who built it? How did he do it? How did he manage to do the whole thing in one piece and transport this monolith from the quarry to the destination?

Is it just a megalomaniacal emphasis on the size of the sovereign, or the authentic expression of the giants (in our view)?

Some historical texts state that giants have reached heights over 10 meters. The most famous of us is Goliath, which is mentioned in the Old Testament Bible and should measure almost 3 meters.
