Traditional egyptology attributes the construction of the Great Pyramid to Cheops. Let's, however, allow another option. Cheops was the last pharaoh to attempt to reconstruct the pyramid.

Inventory stela is a document dating to the 26th Egyptian dynasty and contains information that the Sphinx and at least one of the three pyramids in Giza existed at the time of Cheops.

Stela describes the inspection and restoration of the temple of Isis, which was carried out by Cheops. The statues of the gods depicted on this stele were discovered in the temple by Cheops.

Translation of part of the text according to JH Breasted in the book Historical Records of Egypt (Volume I, page 85): "Let Horus live: Mezer (MD [r]), King of Upper and Lower Egypt: Cheops, endowed with life. He found the house of Isis, Mrs. Pyramid, next to the house of Sphinga [Harmakhis] in the northwest of the Osiris. Mr Rosta [Rc-sTcw]. He built his pyramid behind the temple of this goddess and he built a pyramid for King Henutsen's daughter [Hnwt-sn] next to the temple. "

The stele also pays attention to the description of other buildings in Giza: “The Sphinx area Harmakhis is south of the house of Isis, lady of the pyramids, in the north Osiris, Mr. Rosta. The writings of the goddess Harmakhis were brought so that they could be investigated. - It can grow, it can live forever and ever; look east. "

This is the only thing left of the Isis temple. Just a couple of upright pillars. It definitely does not look like something that was built at the same time as the Great Pyramid.

For comparison - for example, the so-called "temple temple" (its circumferential walls) in the immediate vicinity of the Sphinx before the middle pyramid stands today.
