The Japan Space Agency (JAXA) recently sent an orbital probe to the moon selene. The probe can examine objects below the surface. The same technology is used mainly by mining companies to search for the mineral wealth and oil on Earth. The military uses similar principles to seek refuge from its opponents.

The Japanese probe Selene discovered a continuous tunnel below the surface with a width of 100 meters and a length of at least 50 km. The motif for this discovery was the entrance hole on the surface of the Moon measuring 50 × 50 meters.

The mainstream media presents a tunnel as an opportunity for colonization, as it would make it easier to create suitable conditions for people with a stable temperature, without the risk of collisions with small meteorites and filtering out radiation from the surrounding space.

Temperature fluctuations at the Moon's surface are around ± 150 ° C, depending on whether the surface is illuminated by the Sun or not. The temperature at a depth of one meter is then stabilized at approximately -35 ° C.

JAXA: Idealized tunnel visualization

Archaeoastronauts and some scientists (eg Richard C. Hoagland, Michael Bara, JE Brandenburg) pointed to the existence of the Moon's underground spaces long before the current discovery. According to some ideas, the whole moon should be hollow. If we also take into account that its opposite side is occupied by other civilizations, as the photographs of the Apollo rescued missions show Ken Johnston, then it is more than likely that not only that tunnels exist, but they are already used by somebody else.
