Researchers studying images from Mars have reported dinosaur fossils in the middle of the Red Planet's rocks. The announcement was based on images of the surface of Mars taken by the Curiosity research station.

Experts examined the skeleton of a prehistoric Martian lizard in photographs taken in the area of Gale crater. The crater was named after Frederick Gale, a great astronomer who explored the Red Planet in the late XNUMXth century. century. F. Gale described the channels he discovered on Mars. The researchers are convinced that the skeleton of the long-dead Martian creature is clearly visible in the images from the Curiosity spacecraft.

According to experts, it is possible, at the appropriate magnification, to clearly recognize the skull with the orbit and the long curved spine in the images. Experts are convinced that they have discovered the remains of a prehistoric monster.

In order to obtain a clearer resolution, the researchers used a special computer program. In their opinion, the photographs show the skeleton of a Martian creature who died many years ago. What's more, experts assume that the remains resemble one of the earth's lizards - the Komodo dragon, which is able to survive even in the harshest conditions on our planet.

However, NASA scientists will hardly be able to deal with this discovery, because similar fossils of prehistoric skeletons discovered on the Red Planet are no exception and no one has yet been able to prove they belonged to living creatures.

Space agency workers claim that these are mere optical illusions. NASA experts claim that similar "skeletons" were formed as a result of rock erosion, but as the human brain tries to match all the contours of the relief on Mars to objects known to it, further discoveries are constantly made on the Red Planet.
