After his third hibernation, Jutu (aka Jade Rabbit) called the control center on Friday, March 14, 2014, early in the morning local time in Beijing. Chang'e's parent probe 3 established a connection with Earth as early as Wednesday.

Jut's problems persist and seem to be unavoidable, and the rover will probably never be able to drive. On the other hand, the Nephrite rabbit scientific apparatus works mostly normally. For example, a panorama camera, infrared sensors or geological radar are functional. China itself announced that Jutu, who has just reached the planned three-month lifetime, is in a fairly good condition and will work longer than planned. This is called a hard root!

Both Jutu and Chang'e 3 resumed their activities and continued their scientific tasks without further difficulty.

When it comes to the Chang'e 3 landing probe, there are no reports of any problems yet (except for the failure of the main camera, which, according to China, was made to last only a few weeks). Its optical telescope, ultraviolet camera, and the lunar dust exploration device over the last lunar day (in February) have met the set tasks, and scientists in China have sent a great deal of information. Chang'e 3 has to work at the landing site for up to one year, therefore at least until the end of this year.
