Cahuachi was discovered in 1922, and since then some ridges have been uncovered. The work lasted for decades, as the whole complex covers an area of ​​1,5 square kilometers. We know even less about the older, Paracasian culture. But both civilizations used caves as burial grounds and had advanced knowledge of irrigation techniques.

Italian archaeologist Giuseppe Orefici conducts excavations in Cahuachi. So far, we knew about a large pyramidal ridge, a temple with terraces and a smaller pyramid. The pyramid seen in the satellite images could contain human remains. A total of 20 skulls were found around the uncovered pyramids, all of which had round holes in the middle of their foreheads, which were perfectly "made". Today, Cahuachi is open to tourists. Excavations are progressing very slowly and to date 1% of the entire complex has been explored. Legends of the Nazca Indians say that these buildings were built by Vircocha. We still ask: Who built the Angkor Vat temple complex? How could it ever be created without modern technology? The engravings on the walls of the temple show that the complex was built in just 32 years. Huge and several-ton stone blocks seem to be layered very carefully and precisely. If this was indeed the case, the construction had to be well planned, and the blocks machined very precisely to fit. Another peculiarity is Hindu motifs. How did Hindu elements get into Cambodia? Archaeologists' answers are Indian traderswho brought culture to these places. Whether the locals were so impressed with the foreign culture at the time that they then began to build a huge temple complex with decades and 50.000 workers for decades is a real question. Who provided the funds for the construction and supplied the necessary manpower? Where are the ruins of the big city, which according to archaeologists was here?

The first archaeologists who dealt with Angkor Vate also investigated local legends, according to which the temple complex was built by gods and giants. They concerned the lost city of an empire that was once very powerful and prosperous. It is clear that Angor Vat was not built by the Khmer, but by the culture that existed here more than 2000 years ago. Can we find the form with "Viracochy" here? Ancient Indian texts speak of Aryan gods and cultural bearers who came from the distant north in the distant past.

Australian archaeologists from the University of Sydney made another discovery in 2015. Professor Roland Fletcher and Dr. Damian Evans, project manager Greater Angkor in Cambodia, using laser scanning technology, they discovered that other, far older, temples were hiding under Angkor Wat. The performed measurements showed that the whole complex was once much larger than originally expected. These are the dimensions of at least 1500 x 600 meters.
