As always, they give us a drop. In this sense, it is almost literal, because it is water. The official state of affairs is that water on Mars is, but only as a crust of ice at the poles and at most as frozen crystals in the soil or some form of underground water.

Nevertheless, there are dozens of authentic photographs from various orbital exploration missions that show that water on Mars is in a liquid state and remains there. See for yourself.

It should be added that in 2011 a report was published that the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (launched in 2005) sent very interesting monochrome images from the 6 Mpx camera to the Imaging Science Experiment. There is also a polychromatic HiRISE (High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment) camera with a 0,5 m diameter mirror lens on board the probe. It was from this camera that images were obtained showing traces of running water.

However, so far, it is rather a hypothesis, because it does no one saw the water running down. :)
