A pair of attached images from the NASA Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) NASA's High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera shows a new channel on the Mars surface between 2010 and 2013. According to NASA, it is probably the result of carbon and frozen oxide activities.

These similar phenomena are all over Mars. The question, however, remains about what is happening.
