Gunnung Padang (Indonesia) - The discovery was made by Dutch colonialists in 1914. Megalithic ruins are found practically throughout the Gunnung Padang compilation. This is a place known for having the most megalithic buildings in Indonesia.

Geologists and archaeologists are currently trying to test theories that the mountain itself is of artificial origin, and that it is actually the oldest pyramid in the world, which is currently hidden under a thick layer of soil.

The theory of Danny Hilman (Indonesian Center for Geological Research) has attracted the Indonesian president himself, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

The other archaeologists are holding back and remain skeptical. No wonder. If this pyramid (which appears more than 100 meters high) was used by civilization in Western Java, it would mean that there was a developed society there for many millennia before the early civilizations around.

"The pyramid, according to radiocarbon dating, is more than 9000 years old and can be even older. Some estimates say up to 20.000 years! ", says Dasnny Hilman.
