The scientific community around the world is surprised by the maturity of the knowledge of the ancient Peruvian civilization in Carale 5000 years ago in the fields of agronomy, climatology, engineering, medicine and more.

According to Ruth Shady, laboratories were set up there to make agricultural plans and meteorological forecasts. These made it possible to determine the beginning and end of the growing season as well as changes in nature.

In Carale, for example, they used wind power and fluid mechanics to generate energy. Hot air heated by fire led through underground channels. Today we call it the Venturi effect.

American scientists are wondering how this civilization could have before 5000 years of knowledge that we have known since 1740.

In pharmacology, Caral residents used a scour that contained the same substances as Aspirin to relieve pain.

Another area that astonishes scientists is construction. 5000 years old buildings still resist seismic activities.
