A special feature on "Show Me It!" Is a lot. Beginning with a rather atypical format larger than A4, despite the fact that its first edition was released in 1974, which you will find in deeper exploration of the content. But do not pretend.

As interesting as possible and especially shocking at first sight, there are two small naked children almost all over the cover of the book. The trained instinct of a person dismayed by modern times automatically starts shouting, "Is this some kind of child pornography ?!" Is there such a thing at all!? ”přitom And yet I haven't even opened the book at all, and apart from the title, I haven't read a single word from its contents.

After an initial horror I begin to compare to the idea that it will be about an independent underground, because otherwise something like that is not possible!

Right on the cover of the book you will read: “Picture book for children and parents. The author of the photographs and lyrics to them is Will McBride. The author of the foreword to the Czech edition is Jiří Raboch. The author of the educational part is Helga Fleischhhauer-Hardt, this part was adapted for the Czech edition by Elena Figurová. Translated by Jiří Kostelecký. " I am not saying that I have ever heard at least one of the names mentioned, but the fact that a team of people, obviously with an international presence, took part in it aroused my curiosity. After all, they have it in the Prague City Library and it would be strange if they supported something illegal. Yet something was still bubbling in my head about morality and obscenity.

I started to browse. - The introduction of the book is devoted to the preface and recommendations of how to read the book. A very informative insight is to make historical views on child sexuality. Let me tweak the two paragraphs that made me a few paragraphs at the head:

In Central Europe he ruled until 17. a relatively tolerant attitude towards sexual expression, which today, in spite of the liberalizing sexual wave, is so distant and dangerous that we are resolving it with all possible means. Everyone was able to satisfy their sexual instinct in a way that would not endanger his or her health. People were touching each other sharply, stroking, embracing each other. Self-deception at that time was in no way suppressed. Nannies and parents masturbated little children to calm them down. Insufficient contraception was criticized by the Church. In some cities, the bourgeoisie was established as a brothel. Of course, the lesson of sexual life has already been given to the little children, as evidenced clearly from the collection of Latin-written dialogues published in 1522 by Erasmus Rotterdam. He devoted them to his six-year-old godfather. The title refers to the book's intent: Interviews, designed not only to refine the Latin of children, but also to educate them for life. (Page 6, right column)

Ludvík XIII. Born in 1601, he is not yet a year old, and is already laughing at his throat "playing with his nature". Everybody plays with him and kisses him on them. They often lie with the king and queen in bed, and all are naked. When he's one year, he's promised a Spanish infant. They play with him "where is the most beloved infant?" And the children put his hand on his penis. When he is three years old, he calls a court lady that his sex member makes a "lifting bridge". His mother puts his hand on his penis and says, "My son, I have to touch your beak." At that age, he already knows his position in the affliction and talks about them with his chamberlain. Between his fifth and sixth years, Mademoiselle Mercier, who is sleeping in his room, is occupying positions to see her nature. Somewhat later, she hits her. (Page 7, left column)

Not just these two pieces, which I offer you for tasting, but also other parts of the text made me think. Why are we so preoccupied with the idea that sexuality is simply not talked about? And no hint of NO in front of the children! We even have very strict laws for that today. To some extent, I am convinced that the strong influence of Christianity played a major role (at least in our country). I was surprised that (according to the text) the antics only started sometime after the 17th century.

It is also worth mentioning the views mentioned in the book in other cultures. Mr. Doc. In the preface, Raboch mentions three directions of attitudes to sexuality:

  1. restrictive: Extra-marital sexual expressions are prohibited
  2. semirestrictive: There are formal bans on sexuality outside marriage, but they are not vigorously enforced. There is a certain tolerance if things are done in secret.
  3. permissive: child sexuality is not hindered.

We could say about our company that we are moving somewhere between 1. and 2. because we have laws that do not tolerate sexual manifestations among persons younger than 15 years, but there is still a certain percentage of "children" who have had their first sexual experience ever in 10 years.

From the 16 page, the book contains two-page black and white photographs that portray naked children of various ages, including adults, in erratic positions, including erotic ones, to the point of pornography.

There are memories of my childhood in me. My little one internal the child devours one picture after another. No - this really isn't pornography. This is just the naked reality of our lives. That's what we - the people - really are. Without packaging, without embellishments, without all the fakes and masks. I am excited and carried away by the wave of freedom that breathes on me from the pictures.

Each photo is provided with short "screams" of small children who in some cases stood in front of the lens:

On: That's great! Now I know it all!
She: And me too.
She: So you really thought bees were born from the flower in the meadow or something?
On: ... and that the foals of that meadow belong and I did not know what the mare and the stallion are different from.
Both: One thing is certain, we have both of these.
On: But WHAT I have here, you do not.
She: So what? But there I got such a crack! Your dick is just out, and I've got everything inside that slit. Great, huh?
On: So yes!
(Pages 16-29)

The book has been unavailable for a long time. The last issue in the Czech language was in 1990. Mostly, it is hopelessly dismantled in bazaars and libraries. It wants to be patience to find at least one printout in a worn-out edition. :)
