Research has shown that the reason for the acceleration of the shift is the melting of glaciers in Greenland and western Antarctica, where at the same time the volume of the East Antarctic glacier is increasing.

So far, NASA scientists have not identified these changes as problematic, however, changes on the planet's surface, as it has already been shown, can strongly affect the Earth's rotation.

Some researchers believe that pole changes have taken place on our planet in the past, resulting in large-scale catastrophes. In 1974, an engineer and researcher, Flavio Barbiero, hypothesized that polarity reversal occurred 11 years ago and is recorded in mythology as the demise of Atlantis and the continent of Mu.

The scientist is convinced that the missing Atlantis can be found under the Antarctic ice sheet. Between 1970 and 1980, journalist Ruth Schick Montgomery published a series of books in which she linked the prediction of the cataclysm by Edgar Cayce to the exchange of poles.
