The trail of God in Africa

Has a true trace of God been found? In 1912, Stoffel Koetzi discovered a gigantic footprint of the human left foot in an uninhabited forest corner of the Transvaal, near the border with Swaziland. Scientists have not yet solved this mystery.

Length of the fingerprint

Its length is 1,28 and width 0,6 meters. The imprint is so clear that even the dirt between the fingers is recognizable, as if a giant had stepped on the soft clay, which the sun had then burned with its heat. Today, the trail is located in the granite rock of the Veld plateau, where clay does not currently occur at all.

At that time, the news of the mysterious imprint became a real sensation, with newspapers writing on irrefutable evidence of the existence of a race of giants in Africa, perhaps even aliens whose body temperature was so high that they melted even granite. There were even those who went to Africa in search of the descendants of these giants.

Scientists and their concepts

However, scientists were very skeptical about the report, and since it was not easy to make the trip to the Veld Plateau at the time, none of them went there to examine the report. Gradually everything fell into oblivion.

The second time he came across the Johannesburg print journalist David Barrettwho met the original report in an old newspaper. It was not difficult for him to go to the rocks of the Veld and convince himself of the authenticity of the find.

David Barrett writes:

"A huge footprint is pressed into the rock to a depth of 15 centimeters. In order for the footprint of the footsteps to be buried in such a way to hard granite and not to the more subdued sandstone or limestone, a great deal of effort would be needed. In addition, the surface of the print is smooth, without any marks after machining. It is obvious that originally this part of the rock was placed horizontally and only after the seismic shifts it was in a vertical position ".

The print has long been known

It has turned out that the locals have known of the giant print since ancient times.

The oldest in these lands, 90-year-old Daniel Dlamini, told reporters:

"When I was little, my father told me about the imprint of God, and he himself learned about it from my grandfather, and he said that by the time the Swazis came here, the imprint was already in the rock."

The locals believe that its origin is supernatural and they consider the place sacred, so the Swazis, with the exception of wizards, do not approach this place. Simply put, the hypothesis that it could be a hoax is dropped.

Opinion of Professor of Geological Faculty of Cape University, Archer Raid:

"I can not find a rational explanation for the transvaal mystery. But one thing is clear, it is virtually impossible to carve out such a footprint into granite rock. If it's a joke, it's definitely not a man's hand. "

Interestingly, another giant imprint, the footprint of a god, is located in Sri Lanka, about 71 kilometers from Colombo, at the height of Mount Samanalakanda and is considered a Buddhist sacred site. The dimensions almost coincide with the transvaal footprint, only the imprint of the right foot.
