Secrets of anomalous star maps from the Egyptian tomb

The mystery that surrounds the tomb of the outstanding ancient Egyptian architect, Senenmuta, on whose ceiling is depicted a reversed star map, has so far disturbed the minds of scientists.

Senenmut was the architect of the most magnificent buildings during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut. He led work in surface mines, directed the transportation and construction of the two tallest obelisks at the time, which stood at the entrance to the Karnak Temple, and also created a huge funeral complex in Jeser-Jesser, which means the Most Sacred of the Sacred.

Equally interesting is Senenmut's own tomb, the peculiarity of which is the map of the starry sky. In its center are depicted Orion and Sirius, but Orion is located west of Syria instead of being in the east.

The orientation of the stars on the panel is such that the person who lies in the tomb sees Orion, who moves in the wrong direction.

In his book The Collision of the Worlds, Immanuel Velikovsky expressed the view that the overthrow of the celestial sphere was caused by a global catastrophe that occurred about twelve thousand years ago. This resulted in a change in the inclination of the plane of the ecliptic, albeit by only six degrees, but even that could be enough to provoke a chain reaction.

However, there is a simple and rational explanation for this astronomical anomaly of Senenmut's tomb, which has not yet received attention. In the deep past, north and south were not determined by their magnetic poles, but by the position of the sun.

The current position of the stars

Position of stars in the past

The sun rose in the east and disappeared beyond the horizon in the west. According to the position of the sun at the zenith, the south was determined, where the seat of the sun god Ra was also located.

And yet… In the southern hemisphere, the sun at its zenith is not in the south, but in the north. Therefore, the pair of Orion and Sirius were for the man of that time in the southern hemisphere.

This astronomical map, which goes far beyond the simple agricultural calendar, was very important to the Egyptians. Unfortunately, it has lost its significance over the centuries and has been distorted by official history. But only now can we understand what heaven our distant ancestors were looking at.
