Runes are characters that are probably derived from Etruscan or Greek. They were used as one of the similarities of symbols, letters and script in Germanic languages. Their origins date back to antiquity and were used extensively in the early Middle Ages. The rune alphabet was later replaced by a predominantly Latin alphabet in connection with the acceptance of Christianity. In Scandinavia, the use of runes and runes, mainly for decorative purposes, has been preserved to this day.

Runes are not just fonts, they are symbols that have magic. Their power is so great that one rune is enough to create a spell. They are used for divination of the future, healing and also for understanding ourselves. They can open the gate to the subconscious and give courage to complicated actions.

The meaning of runes

The very meaning of the word rune can be interpreted as mysticism, mystery, mystery or incantation. Of course, the runes can be written as each character has its own voice and can be assigned to the Latin alphabet. However, many written runic records do not exist. In contrast, the objects on which the runes are depicted are many. Warriors engraved their runes on shields, bows, and most of their weapons to support their victory. Characters also appear on containers to prevent food from spoiling. Also grain crops have been adorned to promote good harvest and rich crops. The runes continued to appear in dwellings. They are also incorporated on various pendants as protective talismans.

Legend of Odin

In the case of the use of runes for magical purposes we must not forget to mention the poem Runatal. It is an ancient Nordic poem, telling the story of Odin, who brought the runes to the world. Odin is a Nordic god who has said he has run runes on earth because he sacrificed one eye and then hung for nine days and nine nights on a Yggdrasil tree (probably ash) symbolizing wisdom. He was alone and without help. When he was close to death, the runes he had been able to achieve and gain for the people had appeared to him.

The Rune Masters were called Runici and Rune Master Alruna. These masters and masters read and made runes composed of twigs, carved into rocks and stones, carved in wood. They also used it for distance communication, writing verses and divination and incantation.

Nordic tribes passed their rituals, superstitions and prayers from generation to generation in the form of poems and songs. Thanks to oral presentation, these historical records are not accurate. They did not transfer to the written form until the arrival of Christians in Northern Europe, ie 9. to 13. century. The most famous transcription of these works today is the book Edda. The writing itself changed and changed over time. In different periods, the names of the sounds, the number of characters and even the shape of the letters differed.

Divination from runes

Nowadays, we can find many tutorials on how to tell the runes and how to interpret the runes. A relatively quick and simple method is used extensively - randomly pulling runes from the pouch in which they are stored. The methodology of divination is not exactly described. What is certain is that the runes, engraved in pieces of wood or stone, were thrown, or metals. Traditionally, three or nine runes were used, of which the meaning, the laying and the order were interpreted.

One rune divination method

The one-rune divination method is designed for a quick and concise answer to a simple and specific question. It may also be the basis for meditation or overall appreciation of the previous day. So we can pull one stone as the so-called main run of the day, when we have a test or a difficult task. The drawn symbol tells us about the question being asked and is often the advice we need. Hold the runny pouch and focus on the problem or issue. Pull one rune out of the pouch, hold it in the palm of your hand, meditate for a while, and then look at its meaning. If the pulled-out rune doesn't answer your question, try changing or specifying the question or trying to get a reply later.

The method of divination with three runes

This method will help you to get a comprehensive answer about the current situation and provide indications of what will happen in the near future. How much information you get depends on the time you are willing to dedicate to reading and interpreting the runes themselves.

Pull out the first run and lay it down. This first drawn rune represents past events that have caused the present situation. Pull and drop the second rune, this rune shows the current state of things and already refers to the choice that needs to be made. Pull out and lay the third run. This last drawn rune is usually the most complex to interpret itself. It can symbolize the fate of man, because it means the final result of the question.

If the result is unclear and indicates difficulties, pull out another run to get advice on how to proceed. Three runes prophecy places the problem in the overall context, helps us grasp the whole problem in time, grasps the context, and guides us to a likely outcome.

The method of divination with nine runes

This method gives a detailed description of the personal situation, provides a deep insight into the circumstances that have occurred, clarifies the choices and possibilities arising from them. Nine is one of the strongest magical numbers.

Take nine hands into your hands, hold them for a while and think intensively about your question. Then run the runes on the table or on the ground. First, read those runes that hit up. How runes are interpreted depends on several factors. One of them is a subjective feeling and intuition, another one is a certain skill in reading runes. The runes you see in the center have the most significant weight for the interpretation itself. Those that are further away from the center are of lesser importance, and those that have gone completely out of your eye contact can either be completely ignored or given a very mild and marginal influence.

When you read the runes that hit up, then just turn around and read other characters. Runes that hit the other side point to possible future solutions. How you interpret and interpret the runes depends to some extent on you. Reading runes is a very variable and subjective matter. But when you create some rules, you should stick to them in other interpretations.

There are many ways to divine from the runes, so there are more variations on how to read in runes. If you choose a multi-run interpretation, consider that their prophecies can be refined or negated. You can wear the runes or place them in amulets, in various forms, such as pendants, pictures and symbols drawn on stones or on your personal belongings.
