Titanic sailed under the command of Captain Edward Smith. And he went down with the ship. The passengers were composed of many layers. Some of the richest people on the planet traveled on the ship - for them the journey was a great luxury. Travelers also included immigrants from the UK and Ireland, Scandinavia and other countries across Europe - sailing with hope for a new life in the United States.

The history of this catastrophe was known during the twentieth century, but its greatest glory came in 1997, thanks to James Cameron, director of the movie, who was filming this misfortune, adding a romantic story, and a movie blockbuster in the world. Then they almost knew the story of the Titanic.

Will the path repeat?

Now it seems that the path will be repeated, but they all hope that this time with a happy ending. WITHBlue Star Line announced plans to build and run the Titanic II in 2022.

The route would be the same, just with a stop in Dubai. If everything works and works well, the boat could operate regularly on the England - New York route in the summer. It is estimated that the entire project will cost about $ 500 million, as experts try to create a truly accurate replica of the Titanic - just in a more modern version. But some elements will be the same - the ship will have a classic staircase, pool and sauna on its nine decks, which will host 2 passengers and 400 crew.

Everything will also be sorted into classes - first, second and third class. The rescue boat capacity will be almost 3000 people, instead of just 1200.

The idea is not new

Blue Star Line, owned by Australian billionaire Clive Palmer, has already attempted to create a similar project in 2012. However, it was forced to cancel this project in 2016. This was due to insufficient funding and conflicts with the Chinese government that helped build the ship.

The project will now be under preparation in Paris from March 2019.
