Conscious people feel less pain

Do you wonder why some people feel less pain? According to a study at Wake Forest School, Medicine can be a germ of consciousness. This is related to the fact that you are aware of the present moment, that we live right here and now. And the key to it can be meditation.

Head of Study Fadel Zeidan, Ph.D., assistant professor of neurobiology and anatomy at medical school says:

"We now know that those who are more conscious can feel less pain."

Researchers tried to analyze data from a study that took place in 2015. This study examined the relationship between meditation and reduced pain sensitivity. Researchers also tried to find out what mechanisms in the brain allow this reduced perception of pain.

Study

The study was attended by a total of 76 healthy volunteers who do not. At first, the level of attention was measured, followed by magnetic resonance, and then stimulated by the high temperature that caused the pain. Brain analysis showed that in the higher consciousness and meditation the back of the brain, the so-called cingular cortex, was deactivated more strongly. Those who feel more pain and have not treated them have had a higher activation of this part of the brain.

What is Cingular Bark? (ACC)?

The importance of ACC is evident from the brain's organization. Like the orbitofrontal cortex, ACC helps shape the relationship between what we know and what we feel. It is located at a strategic junction between two different ways of thinking. On the one hand, ACC is closely associated with the thalamus, a region of the brain that helps guide our attention. This means that when ACC gets scared - like an unexpected shot - it can instantly trigger the corresponding emotion. It forces the individual to see unexpected events.

In addition to the ACC, our senses will also transmit a signal to the hypothalamus that regulates the most important bodily functions. When an ACC starts worrying about an anomaly - perhaps with a strange dot on the radar monitor - this worry is instantly transformed into a somatic signal telling us that the muscles are getting ready for action. Within a few seconds, heart rate increases, and adrenaline is pumped into the bloodstream. These physical reactions force us immediately respond. The violent pounding of the heart and sweaty palms is the way the brain tells us we must not waste time. This predictive error is serious.

Help people

Now they have scientists a new hope for people suffering from chronic pain. He believes that the measure of pain perception determines the degree of inner peace and consciousness. The researchers found that after some time of short meditation exercises the perception of pain diminished.

Translator's note:

If you suffer from pain or are in stress, try coming to Thursday meditation with Tibetan dishes in Shaman Tea Room. Meditation will be 31.1.2019 and then always 14 days. She meditates at the sound of the dishes. Whoever you have experience, you know they have a unique sound, which can bring man to states that he sometimes does not even understand. I have a personal experience, and at the end of meditation I have seen things in my head which I can hardly explain myself. I think that with regular meditation you can not only deal with pain, but also gain inner peace, better know and better deal with stress.
