The Great Pyramid of Cholula, also known as Tlachihualtepetl (nahuatl means artificial mountain) is a large complex in Cholula near the historic city of Puebla in Mexico. It is the largest pyramid in the New World. The pyramid protrudes 55 meters above the surrounding surface and its base measures 400 x 400 meters.

The pyramid served as a temple dedicated to the god Quetzalcoatl. The architectural style of the building is similar to the style of the buildings in Teotihuacan in the Mexican Valley, although the influence of the buildings on the east coast - especially El Tajín - is also evident.
