Moscow does not comply with United States requests to extend the use of the International Space Station (ISS) after 2020. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin on Tuesday. In his words, Americans will also not be able to use Russian rocket engines to launch military missiles.

The Kremlin has also decided to ban the use of the US GPS navigation system in Russia, which will start to apply from 1. June, according to Reuters.

The series of measures is a response to the tightening of US technological sanctions that Washington recently imposed on Russia due to the crisis in Ukraine and the annexation of the Crimean peninsula.

As a result, US NASA suspended all cooperation with Russia at the beginning of April. The exception was the International Space Station, where only the Russian Soyuz rockets currently transport astronauts.

The fact that cooperation on the ISS could affect US sanctions against Russia, Dmitry Rogozin suggested at the end of April. "If their goal is to strike the Russian missile sector, they will expose their astronauts to the ISS (risk)," Interfax Rogozin quoted him as saying.

The space station is currently six astronauts. Two of them are Americans, three Russians and one Japanese.

What Russian or Putin, Lavrov and others demonstrate (killing people in Kiev during demonstrations, annexes of the Crimea, etc.) remains reason to stand. Planet Earth rushes into another cold war.
