Richard E. Byrd is known to the general public as a polar aviator, pioneer, researcher and traveler. He gained popularity after November 28, 1929, when he flew over the South Pole. Richard Byrd already had at that time experience of two record flights - over the North Pole in 1926 and over the Atlantic Ocean, from New York to the Normandy coast in 1927. In addition, Richard Byrd took part in Antarctic expeditions four times, including a rather special naval operation. USA named "High Jump", which gave rise to many rumors about flying discs attacking the US fleet from underwater off the coast of Antarctica. The last expedition in which he participated took place in 1956. He died on June 11, 1957 in his house in Boston.

In addition to reports of Operation High Jump in 1946, when the U.S. fleet lost several battleships and dozens of fighters fighting an unknown enemy, Richard Byrd's name is associated with another secret. After his death, he left a notebook with interesting details of the 1947 expedition, which did not get into the official report. Only possible until the report is marked "top secret".

The notes say that at the time of the flight over the North Pole in 1947, the plane with Byrd on board was on the opposite side of the Earth. After his death, these notes, which he recorded in a personal notebook in 1956, became public property.

It's hard to say if they're original - the departure date listed almost coincides with the return date from the Antarctic "High Jump" expedition. We also know that Byrd had to spend a long time at the Pentagon to report the operation. And there is no flight in February 1947 in the publicly available lists of polar expeditions.

Perhaps Richard Byrd, who wrote these lines just before his death, distorted some of the data. Or this flight did not make it into the official files due to secrecy. Hard to say. It is also possible that what he wrote is just a story based on what he saw when he took part in the first polar expedition in 1926, with which "everything was not quite right" either. The notebook from this flight became an official document, was subjected to "modifications" and later declared a forgery because it does not contain real events. This begs the question - what did Byrd actually see during the flight in 1926?

The text of the notebook cannot be considered as irrefutable proof of the existence of a hollow Earth, even if it constitutes further indirect evidence. Here is a translation from the English original.

Interesting fact - Byrd writes in the notebook that he got to the opposite side of the Earth, where he saw a mammoth. Russian academic writer Vladimir Afanasevich Obruchev (Владимир Афанасьевич Обручев), in his book Plutonia (Plutonium)  also describes mammoths inhabiting the entrance area to the opposite side of the Earth. And in the epilogue of the novel about the expedition, which got to the opposite side, Obručev writes these words: “The notebook accidentally got a notebook and pictures of one of the deceased participants in the expedition. The book is based on these materials. "

I am surprised by their behavior. We're trying to connect to the base. Radio contact does not work!

11:30 The ground beneath us is flatter and more normal (so to speak). In front of us we are looking at something that is falling on the city !!!! Incredibly! The plane seems to be particularly light. The steering does not respond! God! Along the sides of our wings are strange types of flying machines. They fly along and approach quickly. In their form, they resemble a glossy disk. 11:35 Our radio starts to crackle and hear a voice in English with a subtle Scandinavian or German accent. "Admiral, we welcome you to our territory. We will land with your plane in 7 minutes. Relax, Admiral, you are in good hands. " I noticed that the engines of our aircraft stopped! The plane is under some incomprehensible control and is now making a turn on its own. Control is useless.

11:40 We have another radio station: "We're starting the landing process." After a while, the plane begins to shake gently and descend as if it were on an invisible elevator. We descend very smoothly and touch the ground with minimal shock!

From now on, I describe all the events from memory. The events described below are beyond any imagination and would seem like complete nonsense if they did not actually happen.

The radio operator and I were taken away from the plane, but they treated us very kindly and with respect. Then we boarded a vehicle resembling a platform, but without wheels. He took us to the shimmering city at great speed. Upon approaching, the city seemed to be built of some crystal-like material. We soon came to a large building, a similar one I had never seen in my life.

The architecture was reminiscent of the work of Frank Lloyd Wright (note: American architect, known for his extraordinary projects such as Fallingwater or Solomon Museum) or even the fantastic short story by Buck Rogers (note, hero of American sci-fi literature) !! We got a hot drink that didn't look like anything I had tasted before. Famous! After about 10 minutes, our unusual guides showed up and said I had to leave with them. I had no choice but to obey.
