According to the Egyptian Ministry of Monuments, another was discovered Sandstone Sphinx. It was discovered by Egyptian archaeologists working on a groundwater reduction project at Kom Ombo Temple in Aswan.

Mostafa Waziri, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Monuments, explained that the find probably came from the Ptolemaic Dynasty, since the statue of the Sphinx was found on the southeast side of the temple, at the same place where two sandstone reliefs of King Ptolemy V were discovered two months ago .

Temple Kom Ombo was built during the Ptolemaic dynasty, which ruled in Egypt for 275 years, from 305 to 30 BC, and was the last dynasty of ancient Egypt.
