Unveiling of the astronomical text of Abd-al Rahman al-Sufi from the 10th century

Suwar al-kawakib or Book of standing stars is a 10th century astronomical Arabic text by the famous scholar Abd-al-Rahman al-Sufi, written in 964 AD The text was created by a powerful Greek-Arabic translation movement that originated in Baghdad and sought to translate secular Greek classics texts and works of Hellenistic scholars in Arabic.

The syncretic traditions of West Asia were once culturally harmonized thanks to Islam's domination of the medieval world and access to the Silk Road. This has now caused Uzbekistan to perform "The First Faithful Facsimile of the Manuscript Images of the Still Stars", informs Euronews. Uzbekistan was located in the heart of the ancient Silk Roads.
