Space probe Nephrite rabbit stood for "moon sleep".

Chinese spacecar Nefrit rabbit from 14. December 2013 examines the surface of the Moon, not even sleeping after two weeks of its mission. In hibernation, the lunar probe was announced on Thursday at 5: 23 hours of Beijing time, Reuters reported.

Nefrit rabbit experts said the sleeping mode was because the Moon had a lunar night. It lasts roughly 14 days, and temperatures on the surface of the lune are down to minus 180 degrees Celsius. Because of this, the device had to be disconnected and radioactive isotopes would be used as a source to maintain the temperature.

Since the launch of its mission, the Lunar Carrier maps the surface of the Moon using cameras.

A few days ago, the first panoramic shot was taken on the opposite side of the Moon in the Rainbow Bay area. The device captured sixty images from three different angles, from which the scientists compiled a panoramic image.

On the other hand, NASA

Most of the world's media is now following the path of the Chinese automatic carriage to the Moon. A little in the shadow of interest was the American LADEE Moon satellite, which recently started collecting information from the orbit associated with a very thin monthly atmosphere and lunar dust.

In addition to scientific instruments, the LADEE probe also has a unique Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration (Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration), which has already achieved the fastest data rate in astronomy history. This is comparable to an optical cable internet connection on Earth. During the trials at the end of October, the download speed was reached, from Moon to Earth, 622 megabits per second and vice versa, from ground to probe, data was transmitted at 20 megabits per second (the probe has a much less powerful laser receiver than a ground center). During this test, the onboard computer of the probe was so overwhelmed that it shut off and had to be restarted. In the future, similar laser communication will allow 3D images and high-resolution video to be transmitted from space.

Although the probe was launched 06.09.2013 nowhere is the only picture of the month, only a few artistic images created by NASA painters

Which, of course, creates the logical impression that Americans are playing on their own sand.
