The Secret and the Meaning of Life (2023) is an unconventional film directed by Petr Vachler. On the one hand, it offers the viewer a dozen stories, with which practically everyone can identify. Either because he experienced something similar in his life or at least because he heard something similar from his friends. However, the film stands out for its original processing (combination of story and documentary elements), narrative and graphic processing, which is absolutely above average by Czech standards. Petr Vachler brings a special spectacle in the form of life wisdom of more than 60 intellectuals, philosophers, spiritual people... from all over the world for at least the last 20 years. The attentive viewer has the opportunity to go through his own introspection of life and think about his own destiny. Ask yourself the key questions that are heard several times in the film:

Who we are? What is the meaning of our existence? What does life after life look like? What is love?

Many, many more of those questions come to mind during the film. You may even get answers to some of them from many wise people, and some you will have to figure out on your own.

I already had the opportunity to see the film twice at test screenings, twice at the pre-premiere, and twice I assisted Peter as a documentarian/photographer at the pre-premiere.

Personally, I believe that the film is a wonderful encyclopedia of life wisdom that has a huge human dimension. Mouder, which can bring new knowledge to every viewer. Esotericists will love this movie. Skeptics may hate it, but despite this resistance, I believe that something will quietly gnaw at their conscience.

Secrets and meaning of life it is worth seeing more than once, because every time I had to state that something to me before that leaked.
