The pink-colored Lake Hilier on Middle Island, the largest of the islands and islands forming the Recherche Archipelago in Western Australia. The upper lake looks like a large pink gum.

How does the lake look like?

The lake is about 600 meters long and is surrounded by a strip of sand and dense cave and eucalyptus forests. North of the South Ocean separates the narrow strip of sand dunes covered with vegetation.

The fact that color is not a trick of light can be proven by taking water from the lake into a container - this can be used to determine that the color pink is permanent.

One of the first mention of Middle East's pink lake dates back to the magazines of Matthew Flinders, British Navigator and Hydrograph, in 1802. Flinders climbed to the highest peak of Middle Island (now known as Flinders Peak) for exploring the surrounding waters when he encountered this remarkable pink lake. Up to several years, when salt was extracted, the island and its pink lake were almost untouched, and since then have provided visitors with one of the most amazing views of the world's natural miracle.

Similar red and rose spots are more in the world. Similarly, Bleeding glacier.
