Is Mars really a red planet? About Earth sometimes we like to talk about Earth blue planet, however, we know that only blue is definitely not. In the case of the Earth, this is due to gases in the atmosphere and predominant bodies of water.

In one of his lectures, Richard C. Hoagland describes the confrontation between NASA and ESA when ESA asks insidious questions to NASA:

  1. You say Mars is red. It looks like our steps and desert on the equator. Why are your photos so red?
  2. You say you lost the XYZ probes (I do not remember the names). We see them and we hear. So what's up?
  3. You say the atmosphere is lead. We see blue. Where is the problem?

In fact, thanks to this confrontation, many people have begun to ask how it really is. Thanks to this, there are many attempts on the Internet filter filtersthat NASA applies to photography.
