In May 2011, CNN broadcast a report that SETI had intercepted a very complex signal from space.

Steven Greer comments on the situation:

I have to put the whole thing on the right. SETI captured hundreds of complex signals.

It came to me from people in very high positions. So I'm not surprised that there was another case that appeared in public. It is not possible to say automatically whether this signal was directly from ET. However, we can say with certainty that all cases are always secret.

As early as the 90s, a colleague told me that the real reason why SETI was founded is to hide the fact that we already have contact with aliens. It's a smokescreen. It's trying to look like we're still looking for some intelligent life somewhere in the Universe.
