Opponents say it's a modern hoax. But is it really so? A small statuette was discovered on one of the Spanish cathedrals, which inherently resembles an astronaut in a spacesuit. It is clear to see the helmet in it, the face of an unknown traveler and the whole suit and shoes, including clearly structured soles.

The Cathedral of St. Jerome was built by the Episcop de Salamanca in 1102 AD.

Skeptics claimed that the astronaut was added by workers who reconstructed the cathedral in 1992 to give it a more modern look. But are they really right? Is there any evidence for this?

Today's photos show the astronaut as he looks today.

It is visible how his right hand was done. The rest is original.

A recently published photograph shows what the motif looked like before reconstruction began in 1992. It is clear from the photo that the astronaut was at the cathedral long before the mentioned reconstruction. So is it the original relief from 1102 AC?
