6th international conference of exopolitics, history and spirituality

There are many legends and myths associated with the history of Antarctica, most of which are associated with the time of the German Third Reich. Those interested in alternative versions of historical events can effortlessly find a wealth of material on the Internet regarding the strange interest of Nazi Germany's leaders in this quiet icy continent. Some faiths are quite exotic and at first glance without common sense, although they contain references to secret service documents and memories of participants in events (veterans of the German navy and aviation) at a fairly advanced age. And yet they deserve some attention - to be an example of military mythology of the 20th century.

"Fuhrer paid to Antarctica"
Links to a secret document by Colonel VH Heimlich, the former head of US intelligence in Berlin, who believed that "there is no evidence of a theory about the Führer's suicide," can be found on the Internet. This is the conclusion of fans of historical sensations that the supreme leader managed to escape a well-deserved punishment. They are supported in this belief by the publication of the Chilean journal "Zig-Zag" of January 16, 1948. It shows that on April 30, 1945, Luftwaffe captain Peter Baumgart took off his plane from Germany to Norway with Hitler on board. In one of the fjords of this northern country, the leader, accompanied by several people, allegedly boarded one of the submarines and headed for Antarctica. At the same time, some residents of Easter Island remembered strange night visits by rust-covered submarines in the fall of 1945.

There was talk of a "Base-211" built by the Nazis, and even an entire city underground called "New Berlin" with a population of almost two million people. People living in this underground world should have been primarily interested in genetic engineering and spaceflight. Journalists seeking confirmation of this hypothesis refer to countless UFO sightings in the South Pole. In 1976, Japanese researchers, using the latest radar, allegedly found nineteen objects that headed straight from the cosmos to Antarctica and unexpectedly disappeared from the locator screen in the icy continent.

"I look to the future with confidence. The retribution instrument at my disposal will change the situation for the benefit of the Third Reich. "
Adolf Hitler, 24. February 1945

All publications on this topic look like a myth. And yet it is known that even in the pre-war period, the Nazis, obsessed with tracing ancient civilizations, were interested in Antarctica and in the years 1938-1939 carried out two expeditions to this continent. Luftwaffe planes were transported here on ships, photographing a vast area in detail and dropping several thousand metal flags with a swastika. The whole area was renamed New Swabia and was declared part of the future Third Reich.

After the expedition, Captain Ritscher reported to Field Marshal Göring: "Our planes dropped flags every 25 kilometers. We covered an area of approximately 8.600 square meters. We also know that in 350 Admiral Karl Dönitz made a mysterious remark: "The German naval fleet is proud to have created an impregnable fortress on the other side of the world."

New Swabia
We have some circumstantial evidence in favor of the hypothesis that between 1938 and 1943, the Nazis built several secret settlements in Antarctica, in the territory of Queen Maud's Land. Submarines from the "Convoy of the Führer" series (consisting of 35 submarines) were mainly used to transport cargo. Historians claim that at the end of the war in the port of Kiel, they removed torpedoes from these submarines and loaded containers with various loads. They also loaded passengers whose faces were hidden under medical bandages.

German experts assumed that, in accordance with the theory of the "hollow Earth", there are huge underground cavities in Antarctica - oases with warm air. German divers, as far as possible to believe the claims of some Western researchers, were said to have been able to find such underground caves as they called "paradise." From 1940, two underground bases began to be built there according to Hitler's personal instructions. From 1942, future residents began to be transported to New Swabia. These were primarily scientists and experts on the "Ahnenerbe" - a comprehensive science center of the SS and also "full-fledged Aryans" among members of the Nazi party and the state. During the construction, they used military prisoners, who were periodically liquidated and supplemented with a new, "fresh" workforce.
