Chile ranks among the most numerous UFO sightings in the world. Some people today call the coast of the country "Alien Alley."

In Ancient Aliens, Season 15, Episode 3, a video about a UFO shot in Chile was recently published under the title "Target Chile". We will go through an episode and compelling evidence that link an ancient petroglyph (a picture on a rock) with a strange and remarkable modern UFO sighting. The Atacama Desert, a landscape with life-like forms on Mars?

The Atacama Desert in northern Chile is the driest place on our planet, although it stretches along the west coast of South America. Conditions in the desert have long been compared to those on the red planet - Mars. So NASA conducted testing here under conditions comparable to those on Mars.

In 2013, NASA's rover found many living, wind-borne microbes under arid sand in the Chilean desert. The results of a 2019 study demonstrated "that microbial life can move very efficiently across the driest and most UV-irradiated desert on Earth." The authors speculated that similar microbes could spread to the Martian landscape, more than 225 million kilometers away.

Can life in Chile be similar to that on Mars? David Childress, who deals with theories about ancient astronauts, believes that there is much more in common than just microbes. When he mentions geoglyphs similar to those in the Peruvian Nazca, Childress notes that they should have been intentionally visible from the air. Although the Nazca figures are very famous, there are five times as many geoglyphs in the Atacama Desert.

The Atacamian Giant and El Enladrillado

For example, the "Atacamian Giant" is a huge alien-looking creature with radial protrusions around its head. This character is 118 meters long, which is about 9 meters more than the football field. It is almost invisible from the ground, but it is easy to see from the air. Theorists of ancient astronauts believe that it served as a signal for extraterrestrial visitors, much like the markings on the runways today.

Today, UFOs are seen more often in the Atacama region. So much so that the director of Aion Chile, Rodrigo Fuenzalida, says, "Chile is something of an entry point for my soul."

"There's a huge wave, a lot of UFO sightings. Simply put, there is perhaps no family in Chile whose member has no experience with UFOs, ”adds Fuenzalida.

A national UFO trail was established in San Clemente, Chile, in 2008, creating an impressive formation known as El Enladrillado. In ancient times, a giant platform was built here from 233 huge megaliths weighing ten tons each. Writer Erich von Däniken believes that this remote place could once have served as a spaceport. Today, tourists can visit it and see for themselves.

Selk'nam tribe and bizarre rituals for heavenly deities

In 1919, the German anthropologist Martin Gusinde visited a local tribe called Selk'nam, also known as the People of She, in Tierra Del Fuego (Tierra del Fuego) in the southern tip of Chile. Unfortunately, the tribe was exterminated by English discoverers.

As radio presenter Victor Hidalgo points out, some members of the tribe were exhibited in "human zoos," and the tribe fell victim to genocide.

Before the tribe was exterminated, Gusinde published a book about him called "The Lost Tribes of Tierra del Fuego". In it you can see tribal rituals such as painting bodies in bright red with white lines. Their heads are elongated and at first glance look like aliens.

Modern Chilean UFO sightings

The Selk'nam tribe had a deep faith in visitors from other planets, and today it seems that these visits can still take place. Fuenzalida confirms that the area where the tribe once lived is now the focus of UFO activities.

On August 17, 1985, a long-running television variety show featured a UFO report in Santiago de Chile that ran for about 40 minutes along half of the Chilean coast. His journey led around Atacama down to Tierra Del Fuego. To this day, no one knows what the object was. In 1977, in Pampa Lluscuma, just below Atacama, a military unit witnessed the landing of two glowing purple UFOs. Corporal Armando Valdés described the object disappearing into the light and reappearing until he realized that five days had passed in that time. His beard grew and his watch showed a five-day newer date. However, his men claimed that the observed event lasted only a few minutes.

Encounters like this are one of hundreds reported over the centuries and perhaps thousands of years ago. However, unlike the United States, the Chilean government is openly seeking answers.

Commission for the Study of Abnormal Air Phenomena

Following the resignation of August Pinochet in 1990, reforms have been launched to increase the transparency of negotiations, including the position on UFO matters. By 1997, the government had created CEFAA, the Commission for the Study of Abnormal Air Phenomena. Pilots regularly reported UFO sightings, some of which approached their aircraft dangerously.

CEFAA Director Hugo Camus explains that the agency receives messages from people from all over Chile. Rather than hiding the evidence from the public, the government has committed itself to greater transparency. Camus also encourages other governments to follow suit.

Thanks to CEFAA, there is more video evidence of the UFO phenomenon. For example, a video from El Bosque Air Force Base in Santiago in 2010 showed a UFO flying past jet fighters at an acrobatic air show. The fighters were part of a celebration commemorating the change in air force command.

After analyzing the video, it was estimated that the UFO was flying at an incredible 6 km / h. CEFAA found the object on seven separate sections of the videotape, indicating that it was not an aberration in the film.

On November 11, 2014, Chilean naval officers who tested a FLIR infrared camera on board a helicopter near Santiago captured an object flying beside them at an altitude of about 1370 meters. After a few minutes of surveillance, the vessel launched a cloud behind it. Although the phenomenon was not visible to the naked eye or radar, the infrared camera captured everything on tape for nine minutes. The footage was then published by the government in 2017.

In 2019, image analyst Michael Bradbury and astrophysicist Travis Taylor tried to analyze the record together. After reviewing the shots from 2014, they noticed that the subject looked like two diamond-shaped objects. Bradbury concluded that they must have been large because the shots were taken from a distance of 56 km.

Bradbury used filters to isolate the image to show the heat trace. Taylor noticed rings of cold air around the vessel, which confused him because there was a thin layer of hot air immediately around the vessel.

"This thing - the heat and the cold again - is something that doesn't normally work that way," Taylor notes. "There is a different temperature bubble around the vessel than around ordinary aircraft, which indicates a certain type of field," he concludes. "From a physics point of view, we can't really explain what causes this," says Taylor.

When examining a video that records a rising cloud, experts note that the cloud is hot but not made of particles like a normal aircraft.

"I've never seen any terrestrial machine work this way." What terrestrial could it be? Taylor asks.

Remarkable resemblance in an area with an ancient geoglyph

After concluding that the footage appears to show a machine with extraterrestrial features, Bradbury shows Taylor something very impressive. It's a photo of a Chilean geoglyph, which strikingly resembles UFO footage.

A geoglyph shows two diamond-shaped objects with something resembling an axis-divided cloud. However, the geoglyph is of indeterminate age and can be hundreds or even thousands of years old.

"It's really exciting," says Taylor. "It's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!" "It's really amazing," Bradbury agrees. "These are cases where I think there's really something to the theory of ancient astronautics," says Taylor. "I agree," Bradbury says.
